Weldmar’s Trust and Foundations Fundraiser and self-described lover of waistcoats, Matt Lloyd, agreed to be one of our models for Second Hand September this year and has done a fine job of putting together outfits from our Shaftesbury Superstore, and posing for photos at the top of Shaftesbury’s iconic Gold Hill.

Second Hand September is all about promoting sustainable shopping, and breaking the fast fashion cycle that sees so much clothing unnecessarily ending up in landfill. But by shopping for good quality, pre-loved items in Weldmar charity shops, you’re also directly helping to fund specialist care for adults across Dorset with a life limiting illness and support for their loved ones. 💙💚

Matt’s mum, Kay, was cared for by Weldmar Hospicecare, and he has kindly shared how so many of the services offered by Weldmar, in part funded by our charity shop supporters, helped his family at the most difficult time. “Weldmar put a hand on our shoulders and said ‘we’re here for you. It was incredible.”
